Help us feed our pets when we are closed

(Pleae refer to the updated blog dated 30th October 2014)

For the Guinea Pig’s & Ruby

 Pellets

  • Fill bowl or feeder up with Guinea Pig/Rabbit pellets.
Do not fill with chicken pellets as this upsets their digestive system.
  • If the food is old/ soggy throw it out and refill with fresh food
  • The pellets can be found in the cupboard beside Ruby’s hutch.

Water

  • You can fill up the water bottles at the tap beside the sandpit.
  • It is really important that the water bottles are filled to the top, especially on those hot weekend days.

Fresh fruit and Veggies

  • Save your veggie scraps for our animals to enjoy. They can eat almost anything; just avoid potato skins, cabbage and bananas.  If you are unsure about anything don’t hesitate to ask.  “Google” can be very informative as well.

Exercise

  • Ruby enjoys a run around the playground on a daily basis. if you are here to supervise then feel free to let her have a run around. Don’t let her out and then leave as we can not guarantee there are no wandering dogs.

And for the chickens

General

  • Water trough can be filled at the tap beside the coop.
  • Pellets are in the white plastic box.
  • One scoop of pellets per bird.
  • Spare chicken pellets are in the bin near the rabbit hutch.
  • Fresh fruit & veggies, avoid oranges and bananas.
  • The chickens will appreciate an opportunity to have a scratch around. They must be put back in the hutch at night.

We are always on the lookout for straw and hay.
If you help with a regular supplier that would be much appreciated.
