Aspiring Beginnings picnic on the field

The tipu tamariki went on a picnic to the open fields of the “old primary school”.  We enjoyed our walk through the grounds discovering flowers and leaves on the grass, seeing our reflections in the windows of the empty buildings, and looking down at ourselves in the water in a drain.

For our picnic we enjoyed yummy cupcakes we had baked earlier in the week and cut fruit and fairy bread prepared by our cook, Elizabeth.

After our picnic we curiously explored the surroundings, noticing the traffic and feeling the long grass between our fingers. It was fun to chase each other in the wide open space.
