Whanau Breakfast

On Wednesday 8th May we had a special treat at AB’s – shared breakfast! It was a great chance for all of the tamariki, AB’s staff, family and whānau to share healthy kai , meet new families and new teachers and say farewell to Jen before she went on maternity leave, and Elizabeth before her holiday to Australia. 

We had lots of healthy heart options to choose from – porridge, fruit salad, muesli and toast to name a few.

A highlight was a special bike for making smoothies.  It had a blender on the back that used pedal power to make delicious smoothies! It was a big hit and although the bike was a bit big for some, everyone had a chance to give it a go – some riding the bike, others moving the pedals with their hands – to create the most delicious fruit smoothies
