As a licensed early childhood centre we receive funding from the Ministry of Education. This funding is required to cover all the centre costs and commitments. This includes all the maintenance of the buildings and grounds, cleaning, utilities and ancillary equipment, wages, teaching resources, etc, etc, etc.  Unfortunately we need to charge fees to cover the funding shortfall.

For $6 per day the centre will provide morning tea, a two course lunch, and afternoon tea. The menu is planned to promote healthy eating and meet the criteria for the healthy heart GOLD award endorsed by the heart foundation.  (click here to see a sample of our approved menu.)

We are very excited to announce that in February 2015 we were awarded pa-harakeke GOLD for our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle with appropriate food choices and physical activity.

Depending on your family circumstances you could be entitled to a subsidy towards the childcare fees
from Work and Income as part of the Working for Families package. To check if you are eligible, refer
to their website www.workandincome.govt.nz or phone 0800559009 to receive an application.

Bookings are charged each day and invoiced on the first business day of the following week. The invoice can be emailed, collected or posted. Payment is required within 7 days and can be made by cash, cheque or internet banking. Our bank account details appear at the bottom of the invoice for convenience. We also have a locked box on the side of the sign in desk for collection of payments.  If you require a separate receipt you will have to see the office staff. Statements are not issued separately and are inclusive of the invoice information.

We are always needing to generate income. Our governance committee are often working towards fundraising events that will require parent participation and support. If you have any skills you can offer our centre then please let us know. We can offer a refund for the $25 per month grounds maintenance levy in exchange for your commitment.

A community centre like ours can only be successful with community support.
