EnrolmentThe minimum daily booking is 3.25 hours. Although, for your child to receive the most from our daily teaching programme the ideal booking is 6 - 6.25 hours between 8.45 - 3.15pm twice a week. A daily waiting list option is available if we can not initially offer bookings that suit your requirements. For any families considering enrolling their child to attend our centre we encourage you to complete the pre-enrolment enquiry request which provides us with the information we require to help fill booking vacancies. Once permanent bookings have been accepted, we need to complete some paperwork. This information is available for your perusal by clicking on the heading below and will be completed together on the first day. Your child will also receive a t-shirt as part of our welcoming pack. It is anticipated that the t-shirt will be “COVERED IN FUN”. Every blemish will tell a story in their journey of learning as a typical preschooler. Enrolment Agreement - The enrolment agreement provides information required by our centre to meet the Ministry of Education funding and licensing requirements. Please also remember to bring along yours child's birth certificate and immunisation records. Routine record for younger children - this is discussed and completed at the first visit with a teacher. We want to make sure we know as much as possible about your child to support your child's regular home routine. Please also familiarise yourself with our "supervision of sleeping children procedure". 20 hours free ECE attestation - This is required to advise which enrolled hours will be covered by the scheme. You can choose any hours your child is enrolled to attend, up to a maximum of six hours a day and twenty hours a week. This document must always be up-to-date and accurate. Any changes will require another attestation. Me Sheet - If you want to share some information about your family, this gives us some background knowledge which we can discuss with your child to help make them feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Vision & Hearing Consent request (A component of the B4 School Checks for 4 year olds) - This is a national screening programme offered by Public Health South for distance vision, Audiometry (hearing) and Tympanometry (Glue Ear). HealthIf your child requires medication while attending our centre, the medication will have to be given to a teacher and the information recorded. The staff can only administer medication with signed "catergory (ii) medicine" authorisation. Our "Illness procedure" explains the guidelines we follow regarding unwell children. To protect the good health of all attending children and adults, any person sick will be sent home. With vomiting or diarrhoea, the patient must be excluded from attending the centre for a minimum of 24 hours. For other infectious diseases please refer to the Ministry of Health guidelines.
